The Evija, the first British all electric hypercar, not from McLaren or Aston Martin or Jaguar but surprisingly from Lotus. The car is an overload of huge numbers, producing 1,972 bhp, 1,700nm of torque and costing around £2m. Perhaps rather unsurprisingly the only small numbers come from the performance statistics. With the targets currently being 0-62mph in less than 3 seconds, 0-186mph in less than 9 seconds. The car is also able to get around 250 miles of range and a full recharge will take just 18 minutes.
So how does it compare to other hypercars?
Its closest rivals, the Rimac Concept two and Pininfarina’s Battista will produce 1,888 hp and 1,900 hp respectively. In terms of the statistics the remarkably quick 0-186mph time is 4 seconds faster than the current king of the hypercars the Bugatti Chiron.
In total only 130 will be produced with production starting in 2020 the car will not only be high up on the performance spectrum but also in the exclusivity sector.
