What is the minimum age to hire a vehicle?
The minimum age requirement is 25 for most vehicles, however, selected models require the driver to be 28.
If the hirer meets the age requirements can the additional driver be younger?
No, the age requirements apply to all drivers.
Are there any mileage limits?
No, there are no mileage limits.
Is fuel included in the price?
Fuel is not included as part of the hire. When delivered, the car will have at least ¼ of a tank of fuel. At the end of the hire period, the car must be returned with the same level of fuel. In the event that this does not happen, you will be billed for the missing fuel at the rate outlined in your rental agreement.
Can cars be taken abroad?
Yes, we allow cars to be taken to European countries if you request this when you reserve a car and purchase the additional insurance, at the cost of £95.00.
When is the hire cost deducted?
The hire cost is usually deducted a working day before the hire date. However, at exceptionally busy times such as the run up to Bank Holiday weekends, we may process the payment a few days beforehand.
Is there a deposit and an excess?
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total hire price will be taken at the time of booking the vehicle with the remaining balance due 48 hours before the vehicle is due to go out on hire. Payments are accepted by credit and debit card. You will also be liable for the vehicle’s insurance excess with regard to damage to the vehicle or theft of the vehicle. This amount is authorised on your card, and is usually processed a working day before the hire.
Can I use someone else’s card to pay for the hire or excess?
No, we only accept the payment from the hirer. However, the person who is intending to pay for the hire may hire the vehicle, and the person who is intending to drive the car may be insured as an additional driver.
Do we offer collision damage waiver?
No, our insurance excess’ are set amounts and we don’t offer a waiver or reduction fee.
